Parton Law is Growing!
Parton Law welcomed three new employees in the first quarter of 2025, each bringing unique skills and experience to the firm. The growth is indicative of the strength of the current team and the vision of Managing Parton, Corey V. Parton. Parton opened the doors to a successful solo practice in Charlotte in 2013. Since then, the firm has morphed and grown into today’s Parton Law, PLLC.
“Bringing on additional attorneys and staff adds depth and capacity to our extremely capable team,” said Parton. He added that the growth fits into the firm’s overarching mission of helping clients find solutions to their legal matters in a timely and professional manner.
Attorney Brian North
Attorney Brian North joins Parton Law with more than 15 years of civil litigation and appellate practice experience in Florida and North Carolina. North has extensive trial practice experience with more than 30 appellate decisions. He also served in the U.S. Army as a Combat Engineer and as a Legislative Assistant in the Washington, DC, office of U.S. Congressman John L. Mica from Florida’s 7th Congressional District before he began law school at the University of Florida. Parton Law is excited to have Attorney North on board!
Attorney Johnny Payne
Attorney Johnny Payne came to Parton Law in February after practicing in several areas of law in Raleigh, North Carolina. Payne grew up in Tampa, Florida, where he studied business economics at the University of South Florida. He attended Georgia State University College of Law in Atlanta, Georgia, before being admitted to the North Carolina State Bar in 2021. Welcome to Parton Law, Attorney Payne!
Darla Torres
Darla Torres brings 35 years of strategic communication experience to Parton Law in a Communication Advisor role. Torres served 22 years in the U.S. Air Force in Public Affairs and led communication efforts for several organizations throughout the Washington, DC, area before moving to North Carolina in 2022. Welcome to the firm, Ms. Torres!
